I think I already graded this place but I'll do it again, just in case, before my sleepy eyes close: they're THE BEST! I wash my heavy coated Aussie Shepherd mix, buy him special non-grain food base from the Honest Kitchen, fish snacks and jerkies , best shampoo ever (almond), nail clippers, brushes and all with the cheerful assistance of the nicest store assistants.

Everyone who works here is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They also have a strong relationship with the Marin Humane Society, a win-win. Another plus is that while they have everything you need to care for your companion animals, they don't sell any animals.

First, it's the convenience factor, located in the Red Hill Shopping Mall by Safeway. The store itself is kept clean, dog friendly and a bathing station. They have a pretty decent amount of foods, organic as well. The staff is always friendly and helpful. If you buy three items of treats, balls, etc, you get the 4th free.

When ever I go in there I am always welcome by Francisco and the nice tall woman who I always forget her name and the young man in the glasses! When me and my husky go there they really make sure we are always satisfied with our purchases and never EVER miss treat us. Everyone who is always around my dog is so sweet and gentle and they have very high quality things for amazing prices and are always very honest and transparent! This is the best pet store in Marin even though it can be pricey sometimes but worth it if it helps out our favorite employees!

Really nice employees, very helpful, clean and easy to use bathing facilities for pups, great food selection, and the 4 for the price of 3 deal on food is a nice touch.

The staff (especially Max :) is extremely knowledgeable about their products. The expansive selection and options for dog and cat food can be overwhelming, but just ask anyone working there and you'll get a pretty thorough animal diet education, plus recommendations. It's the only place I shop for my pets.

When the kitties and I moved to San Rafael, they got their new kitty stroller from here. I tried to support the local small pet store down the street, but the people there were extremely rude and never got back to me regarding pet strollers. Unfortunately for them, they tried to be nicer when they heard I was looking to donate money to local cat rescues....by then I had it with them and decided to shop at Pet Food Express. When the kitties and I recently moved, they got new toys, new fuzzy mice and a snazzy new filtered water fountain from P.F.E. The staff is nice and very helpful. I still support local pet stores (like Red Hill) when I can. Pet Food Express happens to carry larger selections of pet food and items all the time so it's convenient.

Really helpful service here, and most of the employees have good knowledge about the products. I like that they offer a buy 3 get the 4th free on treats and like items.

Pet food express is a high end chain for quality pet foods, treats, and general care. They also have a self - grooming station to wash your dog. Lots of great dog and cat foods here like Origin and Stella and Chewey's.

Our family has been shopping at PFE for years and love the team there. They are so helpful, very knowledgable and just really nice. They've (patiently) answered so many questions over the years and their expertise is very much appreciated. The store has a great selection - esp of food that we can trust. A belated review to say how much we love the store and the team!
